Who Are We? The Nyack Duo Behind Your New Favorite Local Hub

Welcome to your digital neighborhood! We’re Özlem and Sonny, two locals from Nyack, NY, who came together to solve a problem we both saw in our community - finding reliable local services and staying updated on what’s happening in town shouldn’t be so hard, right? Well, that’s where our journey began.

It all started with Sonny, a true entrepreneur man at heart, who just moved to Nyack was on the hunt for a local place to have best dinner. After weeks of searching through outdated websites and feeling frustrated by the lack of useful local information, Sonny had a lightbulb moment: What if there was a website that brought together all the local services, events, and businesses of Rockland County, NY in one easy-to-use place? A platform where locals could find everything they need, and businesses could easily connect with their community.

And so, the idea for our website was born “your pulse on local life”.  But, as with all big ideas, it needed more than just a vision; it needed execution. Sonny, being not just the visionary but also a tech genius, took it upon himself to build the entire website from the ground up. Every line of code, every feature you see on the site - it’s all thanks to his hard work and dedication.

But even the best ideas need a little creative spark, and that’s where Özlem (that’s me!) comes in. As soon as I heard about Sonny’s vision, I knew this could be something really special for our community. I jumped on board as the creative director, making sure the site didn’t just work seamlessly but also looked great and felt welcoming.

Together, we’ve built a platform that’s more than just a local directory. It’s a place where you can find trusted services, explore local events, and discover hidden gems around Rockland County, all while supporting the small businesses that make our county unique. From finding a great accountant to hearing about the newest cafe in town, we’ve made it easy for you to stay connected to everything happening in your neighborhood.

One of our biggest goals with this site is to act as a bridge between local businesses and the community. And I’ve been right there alongside him, making sure it’s as user-friendly and visually inviting as possible.
